Lunar New Year Celebrations

Angsana Velavaru invites guests to celebrate the Year of the Horse with a vibrant two-day festival of togetherness, prosperity, and joyful beginnings. Set within a private lagoon in the South Nilandhe Atoll, the island blends tradition with island rhythm for experiences that engage guests of all ages.

Daytime activities include water aerobics at Kuredhi Pool Bar, dumpling-making workshops, kite flying, beach volleyball, snorkelling cruises, reef explorations, and discover scuba sessions.

Evening highlights feature festive dining, a Lunar New Year Beach BBQ, a celebratory banquet, curated cocktail experiences, and a gala night at Kuredhi Pool Bar with cultural performances, live entertainment, and DJ sets.

Family-friendly programming at the Ranger’s Club offers creative crafts, nature walks, scavenger hunts, and hands-on festive activities, introducing children to Lunar New Year traditions while allowing families to celebrate together.
