Noku Maldives Launches Coral Propagation Programme
Noku Maldives, Vignette Collection, has launched its Coral Propagation Programme, a reef enhancement initiative under its purpose-driven Means for Good pillar. Set in the vibrant waters of Noonu Atoll, the programme nurtures marine life by using naturally broken coral fragments, which are secured onto frames to encourage regrowth and create new habitats for fish and biodiversity.
The initiative will track coral health and marine activity over its first year, supporting the long-term resilience of the surrounding reef ecosystem. This effort complements the resort’s wider ocean stewardship, including protection of its seagrass meadows—critical for marine biodiversity, carbon absorption, and the survival of green sea turtles.
Through Means for Good, Noku Maldives invites guests to engage with conservation in a meaningful way, ensuring the island’s underwater landscapes are preserved for generations to come.
